
Submission Guidelines: Audit or Quality Improvement Project
- Abstracts must be of surgical interest, suitable for an audience of consultants and surgical trainees
- The abstract should relate to original and unpublished work.
- All submissions should be be submitted via the submission link below to the most appropriate category.
- An abstract must not be submitted to more than one category.
- After the submission deadline has closed, absolutely no changes can be made to the abstract.
Abstract Format
- Abstracts must consist of the following sections:
- Title
- Introduction/Background
- Method
- Results
- Conclusion
- The total word count (excluding title and section headers) should not exceed 250 words.
- Abstracts are to be submitted as text only.
- No more than a maximum of 6 authors should be listed.
- The abstract will be judged anonymously therefore, the body of the abstract should not contain information that can identify the authors or institution
Governance
- Please ensure that the abstract has been reviewed and agreed by all of the named authors before submission.
- Where there is a conflict, EKSC committee will take the final decision on whether an abstract will be presented.
- All authors have a responsibility to ensure that the data submitted is accurate, is not extrapolated and fairly represents the presentation to be given at the meeting.
- Ensure appropriate consent has been obtained from patients represented in your case abstract
